After weeks of searching for my missing driver's license, I gave up, and today I drove to Sundance with two forms of identification so I could get my picture taken, take a vision test, and wait 30 days for my new license to come in the mail.
As I'm scrounging around in my wallet to try to find my school ID, I see it, there, under my CPR and First Aid certification cards - my driver's license. Tucked under there, instead of on top of them, in the window, where it should have been. I wanted to hit myself in the head with a hammer. I can't believe I did that.
So I drove back, speeding most of the way, now that I didn't have to be so careful anymore, picked up my paycheck from work, deposited it, and cashed in all my $1 bills and coins from tips. Then, 20 minutes before class, I realized I had an assignment to read two articles and write a paper on them. Damnit to hell.
On a more positive note, we had our apartment warming party last night, and quite a few of Aaron's friends showed up (they're all my friends, but through association with Aaron), and we had a good time. Chips, dip, taquitos, cheese and crackers, with some music for atmosphere. It was fun and nice to let everyone know they were welcome to come here and hang out if they wanted to.
But, now I am off to class, the one where I forgot to read the articles. Great.
